N°11 - Your Most Valuable Work Often Feels The Least Impressive

Show notes

One of the most dangerous things that can happen to an expert is becoming exceptionally good at what they do.

Not because mastery is a problem. But because mastery changes perception.

What once felt extraordinary starts feeling obvious. What once required effort becomes second nature. What once felt valuable begins to feel ordinary.

And slowly, almost without noticing, you start dismissing the very thing people would happily pay you a premium for.

In this episode, I'm exploring why so many highly skilled business owners, coaches, consultants and experts become blind to their own brilliance.

We talk about:

• Why "it was just a conversation" is often a lie • The hidden relationship between mastery and self-undervaluation • Why clients often experience your work very differently than you do • The difference between effort and impact • How familiarity creates blindness • The "diamond mine" effect and why your greatest genius often feels the least impressive to you • What happens when you've spent too long standing inside your own brilliance

Because your clients don't experience your work from the inside. They experience it from the outside.

What feels effortless to you may be life-changing for someone else. What feels obvious to you may be the exact insight someone has been searching for for years.

00:00:13: Welcome to the Premium Way podcast, a space where premium is not reduced to aesthetics or price tags but understood as identity.

00:00:23: As way of life.

00:00:24: in here we operate at the intersection of psychology perception strategy leadership and The invisible signals that decide who gets chosen trusted And remember our philosophy did the stereotypes Ditch the idea that premium has only one face.

00:00:47: Premium was never meant to be sterile, it was meant to rich in character reflective of your true core and your dream buyers' deepest desires Like the finest wine layered complex unique unmistakable To those who know what they're tasting refined without losing its edge Unafraid to be different and impossible To confuse with anything else.

00:01:17: This is the room where The Ordinary stops applying, this Is Where Standards Are Set Not Followed And Where Premium Stops Being Something That You Chase And Becomes Something You Embody!

00:01:39: Premium leader, we're back with a solo episode.

00:01:48: Episode number eleven.

00:01:49: and this is iconic and symbolic in many ways because as you probably know the Number One or The Number Eleven symbolize and stand for new beginnings fresh beginnings And this episode invites you into one As well.

00:02:06: I want to talk about something that i've been noticing over and over again Not just lately, but throughout all of the years of my career essentially.

00:02:15: But noticing that in myself In faces sometimes and very much so in my clients and my peers Sometimes even in my mentors And The Quint Essence Or...the core message Of this episode This podcast episode is..The thing you have normalized Is a thing everyone else would pay for Big bucks not just a crumb.

00:02:41: Because here's the dynamic.

00:02:43: You said something to your clients, to appear...to whoever that basically altered the course-the trajectory of their lives.

00:02:51: but you called it just a conversation.

00:02:53: and its this tendency.

00:02:54: I want speak about This TENDENCY To dismiss your impact!

00:02:58: To explain in a way?

00:03:01: To minimize it?

00:03:02: To somehow separate yourself from the outcome That YOU have helped create that you had tremendous impact on and tremendous, very often not being measured by quantity but the gravity with which it landed.

00:03:17: And so often I hear people say things like well...I can't really take credit for that.

00:03:21: The client did their work.

00:03:23: Ultimately was there decision.

00:03:25: Yeah i might have given them something But It wasn't me.

00:03:30: Of course they made a decision of course They took action.

00:03:35: But you're dismissing something so incredibly important Because sometimes a person's entire life changes because of the single conversation.

00:03:44: It is that one sentence, one perspective One moment.

00:03:47: One question!

00:03:48: One invitation.

00:03:49: One challenge and one reframe And you've experienced it before.

00:03:53: You have experience how ONE SINGLE SENTONS has had tremendous impact on YOU AND IN YOUR LIFE And you have experienced HOW THAT FEELS LIKE WHEN YOU ARE THE REASON OF IMPACT FOR SOMEONE ELSE.

00:04:04: Yet the person who delivered that sentence often sits there and goes, well it was just a conversation.

00:04:11: But let me challenge you here!

00:04:12: Was it?

00:04:13: Was is really just a

00:04:14: conversations?!

00:04:15: Because... Here's what I find very fascinating.

00:04:18: Nobody ever says this about negative moments.

00:04:21: Nobody say oh its one comment my father made No.

00:04:25: people spent twenty years recovering from one comment they've been met with in their childhood.

00:04:30: When it comes to trauma or very hurtful experiences, nobody says oh It was just one experience and then we shrug our shoulders.

00:04:37: people build entire Identities around that single experience at a single traumatic of very very negatively impactful experience.

00:04:45: So Nobody Says it Was Just One Sentence Because sometimes one sentence changes everything.

00:04:52: you know this I Know This We Know This when the impact is negative especially but somehow in The Impact Is Positive?

00:04:58: We Suddenly Become Very Humble Very cautious, very eager to distance ourselves from our contribution.

00:05:04: Why?

00:05:05: I mean part of it is because we're evaluating value through effort and if something felt difficult for us We can justify charging for this.

00:05:13: If Something Felt Hards...we Can Justify Claiming It.

00:05:17: And If Something Required Years Of Study..We Can Point To The Effort.

00:05:20: But What Happens When You've Become Exceptionally Good At What You Do?

00:05:24: what happens when your genius becomes effortless?

00:05:26: Because That Is the True Characteristic Of Genius.

00:05:29: Genius isn't measured in hardship or an effort.

00:05:32: It's measured and how freaking effortless it actually is, otherwise you wouldn't be a genius in it.

00:05:36: Otherwise... You would say that person as an expert.

00:05:39: If they take tremendous amounts of getting something done Or achieving something.

00:05:44: What happens when you've repeated so many times That feels so obvious?

00:05:49: When your truly anchored into what happened to the thing that changes someone life No longer feel remarkable.

00:05:55: And this where people start getting into trouble Because they confuse effortless with worthless.

00:06:00: And those are not the same thing!

00:06:02: In fact, often... ...the opposite is true.

00:06:06: The more integrated a skill becomes.. ..the less dramatic it feels.

00:06:11: and the more refined your genius become.... ....the less noticeable it becomes to you.

00:06:16: So- the more valuable you become..... ...the more ordinary YOU start perceiving yourself paradoxically Not because you ARE ordinary but because you're so used to YOURSELF.

00:06:27: And what happens when the novelty wears off?

00:06:29: When we get used to something, it kind of loses its magic.

00:06:33: You're standing inside a thing!

00:06:34: YOU'RE STANDING INSIDE THE DIAMOND

00:06:36: MINE!!

00:06:38: And because you are surrounded by diamonds every day... ...you start treating them like rocks.

00:06:42: Meanwhile someone else would walk in and be like... Are you

00:06:46: insane?!

00:06:46: Do you

00:06:47: realize!?

00:06:48: What's in

00:06:48: here??

00:06:49: Do you realise the WORTH of all

00:06:51: this???

00:06:52: And you don't not fully Because familiarity creates blindness And I think this is exactly what happens to so many brilliant business owners.

00:07:01: The longer you are in business, the more sophisticated your become... ...the more elegance and precise or potent it becomes.

00:07:09: but simultaneously you begin to discount yourself very often unknowingly without fully noticing that because once felt extraordinary now feels normal You assume its no longer as valuable.

00:07:26: But thats a mistake a very expensive one.

00:07:29: Your clients don't pay you for how difficult something feels to them, they pay what becomes possible through what is so effortless and that's a completely different metric!

00:07:41: And when you really want to take serious again...and it's time you stop evaluating your value based on the level of effort!

00:07:49: It's time YOU START Evaluating IT BASED ON YOUR LEVEL OF IMPACT no matter the quantity involved.

00:07:55: Because due to your contribution and the seed that you have planted, Your clients changed their lives And yes maybe they have watered the soil and took care of it and groomed the plants.

00:08:05: But without the seeds The plant couldn't even started blooming.

00:08:08: because You can water this soil as long As much as you want.

00:08:11: If there is no seed There will be no plans!

00:08:14: This seed has been you-your contribution-your impact.

00:08:17: Stop dismissing That.

00:08:18: stop saying oh It was just a conversation I didn't do much...it wasn't.

00:08:23: and deep down, I think you know that.

00:08:24: i'm very sure that you know it!

00:08:26: And...I have a beautiful screensaver That would like to read out To

00:08:30: You!!

00:08:30: And..i don't remember who the origin of this quote is But....i am still going to read It to you Obviously with transparency.

00:08:38: This quote isn´t mine but i really value and like it.

00:08:41: So...it says Your genius Is your most natural talent.

00:08:45: The thing u do so effortlessly U assume it has no value.

00:08:49: But thats the mistake.

00:08:51: Genius always feels too easy to the one who holds it.

00:08:55: We've been conditioned to worship the struggle, To believe.

00:08:57: brilliance is found in what is heart What demands proof?

00:09:00: What takes everything out of you.

00:09:03: But your true genius doesn't drain You.

00:09:05: It energizes you And everyone that comes into touch with it.

00:09:09: It drops you Into flow state Where time dissolves and creation happens Without effort.

00:09:16: That's the signal When he feels natural when he feels alive You are in the lane.

00:09:22: No one else can run and because The Lane is empty you lead by default.

00:09:28: genius Is not earned it is claimed when you start trusting what feels like second nature.

00:09:34: Let that be your fresh new beginning, okay?

00:09:37: Because here's a thing I've had so many experiences In the past where i was confronted with my own genius Where my clients were right someone signing up for A single session With me back then at one thousand one hundred and eleven euros And that person was facing their very first launch, so no one can come and now tell me yeah but they already had the audience or whatever.

00:09:56: So like also notice where you try to justify circumstances That you apparently have or don't have yet Or what ever in that are the reason for why things cannot work out.

00:10:07: drop that bullshit.

00:10:08: This is your fresh beginning.

00:10:09: Expand yourself and drop holding onto this shit that limits You and doesn't serve you Until that client came to me for the very first ever group launch.

00:10:18: One thousand one hundred eleven Euro session back then, and the clients thought they would come up with a strategy but very quickly as a millionaire's mirror I am identified.

00:10:30: well strategies not your issue baby girl.

00:10:33: it is about different layers we want look at.

00:10:35: so had conversation of these other layers that were involved boom on this side.

00:10:41: over one hundred thousand euro launch from A. that's a one hundred times ROI.

00:10:48: Another client came to me for her two and half K telegram week, wanted some app out here birthday sale And she really wanted to sell.

00:10:58: the highest ticket off ever at that time was twenty five K. it was like two years ago.

00:11:05: She almost didn't offer it because she found all of reasons why That would probably not be sold.

00:11:11: She wanted to include an in-person VIP experience and then she thought that no one comes or flies out of Switzerland, meets me there.

00:11:17: I was like wait are you for real?

00:11:19: The majority of your clients first is all in the area And second they get around the world for business or even leisure All the freaking time!

00:11:27: You're telling them won't hop on a one two three four hour flight to meet you in Switzerland?

00:11:31: Well...you were actually right.

00:11:33: So we mapped our offer.

00:11:33: It's been the most beautiful VIP experience with months long one-on-one coaching.

00:11:40: It was delicious on each and every level.

00:11:43: And I really, dearly love mapping out really exclusive sexy premium offers with my

00:11:47: clients.".

00:11:47: So we mapped that up.

00:11:49: she offered it same day ten applications because that offer has not been offered before in her world.

00:11:57: so you know who stepped forward?

00:11:59: The ones have been hiding the bushes but quote unquote high-level clients She thought weren't in her worlds.

00:12:05: They now step forward Because finally made an offer That spoke to them.

00:12:09: Let that land.

00:12:10: Are you currently telling yourself, oh there's no one in my audience?

00:12:13: Yeah but really have you made an offer that really addresses them and not just posted it once quietly on your lowest view story day But repeatedly I've put out there Have You because i think And i sense There is some room to improve here!

00:12:26: So its time To clear up all the distortions That exist around you and your genius your relationship to actual ease and effortlessness.

00:12:37: Not because that means you lean back, not do anything anymore but it's about the attitude approach things with And also About you no longer dismissing what feels effortless Because You think That is worth less than This.

00:12:48: Is Your New Beginning Your Fresh Start If You Let It And I really urge you To let it Okay?

00:12:56: Let all of this sink in Then you will hear me In The Next Episode.
